VOICE is organising or involved in a variety of events, conferences and round tables. Some of these activities include developing positions towards EU policies related to humanitarian aid, as well as actions aimed at allowing the concerns of humanitarian aid NGOs to be taken into account. These events are open to VOICE members; a number are also open to the humanitarian community (NGOs, ICRC, UN agencies) as well as to decision makers within European Institutions, donors and EU Member States.

Joint VOICE - ICRC ROUNDTABLE "Women in Conflict: Greater Needs, Fewer Resources" Brussels, 11 May 2009
On Monday 11 May 2009, as an introduction to its annual General Assembly which took place on 12 May 2009, VOICE organised a public roundtable in Brussels. The focus of this roundtable, organised in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), was on women in conflicts.

SEMINAR “Strategic Resourcing in Humanitarian NGOs: Towards the Coexistence of Professionalism and Voluntarism?” Brussels, 7 July 2006
The objective of the seminar – organised in association with People In Aid - was to raise awareness of the main issues relating to professionalism and voluntarism in humanitarian aid and to debate the role that voluntarism can play in filling the human resource gap in the humanitarian sector.
VOICE organised a Round Table in Madrid in cooperation with Coordinadora, the Spanish platform of aid NGOs. The objective of these meetings was to engage the VOICE Board (SCHA), senior management level of VOICE member organisations and other relevant humanitarian actors in a dialogue on relevant EC policy issues related to EU humanitarian aid, with a special emphasis on the national NGO environment.

VOICE invited Mr. Louis Michel, EC Commissioner in charge of Development and Humanitarian Aid, to make a presentation on the future challenges of EU humanitarian aid and the role of NGOs.
VOICE organised a roundtable on "Civil military relations and civil protection" and on “Conclusions from the UK Presidency of the EU and the future Peace and Security Agenda”, including contributions by DG ECHO, DFID, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and VOICE SCHA Member Rainer Lucht.
